How to prepare for our open day

Our open days are a lovely opportunity to see Blackbrook Barns styled to perfection, alive with atmosphere, and set just as it would be for a real celebration. While photographs and social media can offer a glimpse, nothing compares to experiencing the space in person - walking through it, taking in the details, and imagining your beautiful wedding day here.
Whether you're at the beginning of your planning journey or you've already booked Blackbrook Barns, our open day allows you to truly get a feel for everything we have to offer. You’ll have the chance to explore the venue, grounds, and facilities at your own pace, meet our experienced wedding managers, and ask any questions along the way in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
To help you make the most of your visit, we’ve also put together some of our top tips to guide you as you prepare for your open day with us here at Blackbrook Barns.
Take a little piece of the day home with you
We understand that open days can feel quite overwhelming, with lots of information and plenty of conversations happening throughout your visit. We recommend taking away our postcard which includes a QR code to our wedding brochure, our sample menu brochure and our drinks package information. These will give you something to refer back to afterwards, helping you reflect on your visit and make decisions with confidence.
Come prepared with your questions
Our open days are the perfect opportunity to ask anything you’d like to know about celebrating your wedding with us. Taking a little time beforehand to note down your questions will ensure you make the most of your visit and don’t miss anything important.
If you’re revisiting us after booking, it’s also a great chance to confirm key details - whether that’s checking measurements for tables sizes or asking questions about what set up options work well at Blackbrook.
Join us for a guided tour
If available, we always recommend booking onto one of our guided showrounds during the open day but it's no problem if you prefer to wander at your own leisure. It’s a wonderful way to fully experience the venue though, led by one of our knowledgeable wedding team. You’ll be able to explore each space, discover all that we have to offer, and ask any questions along the way.

Open days are the perfect time to see how our venue would be decorated and dressed for a wedding. It’s a great time to get some inspiration for your wedding day and see how different decorations would work in the venue.
Our next open day is on the 5th July 12pm-4pm and we'll be welcoming couples with a refreshing glass of Pimms or non alcoholic elderflower fizz.
